Monte Albán Wiki
The Monte Albán Wiki is a comprehensive resource on the ancient Zapotec archaeological site of Monte Albán in Oaxaca, Mexico. Here you will find detailed pages on the 24 principal structures — including the Main Plaza, Building J (Observatory), the South Platform, Building L, and the Ballcourt. Each entry provides historical context, architectural analysis, and well-sourced references drawn from recognized authorities such as INAH, UNESCO, and peer-reviewed academic publications. Our aim is to offer a reliable, accessible, and academically rigorous view of the urban center of Monte Albán, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important ceremonial complexes in Mesoamerica.
