“Monte Albán receives thousands of visitors every year, yet it still doesn’t get the attention it deserves from the government. For a site that shaped an entire civilization, it remains underfunded, under-promoted and still largely unexcavated. The beauty and importance are undeniable, but preservation requires more than admiration. It requires people who care enough to step in where institutions fall short. That’s why I created MAHC, to give Monte Albán the visibility, care and advocacy it hasn’t been given up til now. With your support, we can help protect this ancient city, share its story with the world and uplift the many other archaeological sites across Oaxaca that need the same attention.
